Emmanuel is a busy place throughout the week with something for all ages. Our regular events are shown below and our Community Groups page has links to many of the groups which use our halls for their activities.

Cubs

The 8th West Wickham cub scouts meet at 7 – 8.15pm in the Richmond Hall. Contact them via their website

Blissful beginnings 10.30  – 11.30am in the James Todd room

Everyone, both ladies and gentlemen, are welcome to our meetings. We often have a visiting speaker, or a members’ afternoon. There is always tea or coffee and biscuits and plenty of time for conversation. The latest programme can be found in Emmanuel Life, our church magazine

Board Games Cafe – 3.30-5.00pm

If you are aged between 9-14 years and enjoy playing Board games, then come and join us.

Scouts and Explorers

The 8th West Wickham scouts meet at 7.45pm – 9.00pm in the Richmond Hall. Explorers meet at the same time in the Griffith Jones Hall. Contact them via their website

Community Baby & Toddler Group @ Emmanuel meets 9.30-11.30am in the Richmond Hall during term time. Mums, Dads, grandparents and carers have a chance to catch up while watching their children play, build friendships and develop alongside their peers in the large safe space. There are many toys and resources allowing the children to play freely, as well as structured activities, story time and songs with actions.

The 2nd West Wickham Guides & Rangers for girls aged 10-18 meet jointly on Wednesday evenings during term time from 6.15-8.15pm in the Richmond Hall.  There are a number of adult leaders and some young leaders. For more information contact: .  The termly programmes consist of a variety of activities including badge work and skills builders along with cooking, craft and games.  There are often days out, overnight stays away, summer camps and international opportunities available.

Squirrels

Beavers

The 8th West Wickham beavers meet from 6.00pm to 7.00pm in the Richmond Hall. Contact them via their website

Warm Welcome Fridays @ Emmanuel from 10am to 4pm in the Hewitt Room

All are welcome to come in for hot drinks, a light bite lunch, and time to sit and chat or relax with the newspaper. Just drop in! There is no charge for anything, but any donations will be given to The Vine Food Bank, New Addington, which we support.

Rainbows and Brownies meet from 5.30 – 7pm in the Richmond and Griffith Jones halls

Rainbows is all about developing self-confidence, building friendships, learning new things and having fun. Girls aged 4 to 7 get their hands dirty with arts and crafts, get in touch with nature and play games – it’s all about learning by doing.

Brownies introduces girls aged 7 to 10 to a world of new opportunities, challenges and fun.

Girls go along to camps, holidays, day trips and sleepovers. They get together with their friends at regular meetings where they learn new hobbies, get creative, develop skills and have outdoor adventures.

As well as trying activities in their meetings, girls choose from interest badges related to things they want to know more about.
